Our Story ...

Have you ever felt like there was something missing in your life? Like you were meant to be somewhere else, doing something different? That's how we felt before we decided to take a leap of faith and become full-time RVers. It wasn't an easy decision, but it was definitely one of the best we've ever made.

Our story is different from most full-time RVers. We didn't just pack up and hit the road on a whim. We did years of research before we rented out our home and sold nearly all our stuff. We wanted to make sure we were fully prepared before embarking on this adventure. And now, we want to share our travels and hiccups to help aspiring RVers like you, all while we Desperately Seek Sunsets from Border to Border and Coast to Coast.

One of our main motivations for becoming full-time RVers was to see as much of the country (and eventually the world) as possible. We have always had a love for adventure and exploring, but we felt like we were stuck in a rut. So, we decided to take matters into our own hands and create a life that we truly love.

Did I forget to mention Ace and Bella, our two faithful furry companions embarked on this journey with us (without their concent)? Traveling with a hundred pound doberman and a 60 pound shepherd mix with allergies has definitely presented us with some additional special considerations, expenses and additional time constraints, among others (So Many Stories We Have). However we could not imagine this adventure without them.

But, of course, becoming full-time RVers wasn't without its challenges. One of the biggest obstacles we faced was figuring out how to live within a budget while still being able to travel and see the sights. We quickly learned that there are many ways to save money while full-time RVing, but it takes some creativity and resourcefulness.

For example, we discovered that boondocking (camping for free on public land) is a great way to save money on overnight stays. We also prioritize cooking our own meals instead of eating out all the time. And when we do need to find a place to stay, we use apps like HarvestHosts, RVLifePro, and GoodSam to find affordable campsites and RV parks.

Another challenge that we faced as full-time RVers is staying connected with family and friends. Being on the road can be isolating, especially if you're in a remote location with no cell service or WiFi. Of course, living on the road isn't all sunshine and rainbows (although there are plenty of both when you're Desperately Seeking Sunsets!). We've had our fair share of hiccups along the way, from mechanical issues with our RV to getting lost in unfamiliar territory. But, we've learned to take these challenges in stride and find the humor in the situation (eventhough there were a few tears shed).

Our journey as full-time RVers has been nothing short of amazing. We've seen so many beautiful places and met so many wonderful people (and everything inbetween). And, we feel blessed to be able to share our adventures with others.

Whether you're a seasoned RVer or just starting to consider this lifestyle, we hope that our story has inspired you in some way. We encourage you to embrace your inner explorer and to never stop seeking new experiences. Life is short, after all, and there's so much of the world to see.
